On the June 5th, a grand event connecting the exhibition industry in Zhuhai and Hong Kong was held at the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center. With the support of Bureau of Zhuhai Convention and Exhibition, four different units included the Zhuhai International Convention and Exhibition Center, Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong Regal Hotels, Zhuhai Hengqin Chimelong Bay Hotel signed the "Exhibition-Tourism Belt of Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge" strategic agreement. Zhuhai and Hong Kong will seize the opportunity of the construction of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Big Bay Area (Big Bay Area) and work together to promote the cooperation and development of the exhibition industry in both regions.

At the meeting, the representatives from Zhuhai and Hong Kong promoted their respective industrial environments, market trends, platform structure and related resources of tourism to share and explore opportunities for future cooperation and development of the convention and exhibition Industry. The Zhuhai Convention and Exhibition Group also highlighted the 12th China International Air Show that will be held in November this year. At that time, leading aerospace companies at home and abroad will showcase high-end products. The Chinese "Series 20" aviation equipment, which has received worldwide attention, is also expected to be unveiled.

During the activity, nearly 100 corporate leaders, experts, scholars and relevant media representatives from Zhuhai and Hong Kong's convention and exhibition industry visited the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macau Bridge (HZMB). This "Century Project" will not only bring Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macau into the "one-hour life circle", but also accelerate the economic development of the Big Bay Area, and open up a broad space for intensifying cooperation between the convention & exhibition industry of three places.

Allen HA, Wing-On, Chief Executive Officer of AsiaWorld-Expo, Hong Kong, believed that by the close connection of the HZMB, the convention and exhibition industry in Zhuhai and Hong Kong could work together to create a regional economy community of tourism and exhibition. The model of "one meeting two places" could become a trend. “The extensive cooperation is to promote the brands in the international market jointly, digest the business orders of the domestic and international exhibition, included complementary interactions around the entire industry chain such as exhibition talent training, engineering design, logistics and transportation."

According to Mr ZHANG Wenji, deputy director of the Zhuhai Municipal Exhibition Bureau, in recent years, the city has continued to promote the development of the exhibition industry and has repeatedly interchanged visits with the Hong Kong AsiaWorld-Expo, the Hong Kong Trade Development Council and the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Bureau. "By sharing the resources of Hong Kong and Macao exhibitions, integrating with the international market, forming a rational division of labour and win-win cooperation in the convention and exhibition industry in the Big Bay Area, Zhuhai will surely usher in the golden development period of the exhibition industry."
